This Privacy Policy explains how KAEDBAE LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you visit https://kaedbaellc.com (the “Site”), request a quote, or engage us for security integration, video surveillance, alarm and access-control systems, biometric access control, and smart-automation services (collectively, the “Services”).
We are security integrators and authorized dealers and resellers for numerous third-party manufacturers, serving customers throughout the United States. Because the Services can involve cameras, sensors, alarm signals, and biometric identifiers, we treat the information we handle with a heightened standard of care. Please read this Policy carefully. By using the Site or engaging our Services, you acknowledge the practices described here.
01Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to information we collect through the Site, through your communications with us, and in the course of providing the Services at your home, business, or other premises. It does not apply to the independent practices of third parties — including the manufacturers whose products we resell, monitoring partners, or other websites — that maintain their own privacy policies.
Where we provide Services to a business customer (for example, installing surveillance at a commercial site), that customer may be the party responsible for notifying its own employees, visitors, and tenants about recording and data collection. In those arrangements, we generally act as a service provider that processes data on the customer’s behalf and in accordance with our written agreement.
02Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
- Contact and quote-request details — your name, email address, telephone number, mailing or service address, company name, and any information you include in a contact form, quote request, or message.
- Property and project information — details you share about your home or business so we can scope a system, such as property type, square footage, existing equipment, points of entry, and your security objectives.
- Communications — records of correspondence, support requests, scheduling, and notes from consultations or site surveys.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies — as described in Section 7.
03Information from Our Security Services
When you engage us to design, install, integrate, monitor, or maintain a security or automation system, we may collect or process the following categories of information, depending on the system you select:
- Video and image data — recorded or live footage from cameras, doorbells, and surveillance equipment, which may capture images of individuals, vehicles, and property.
- Alarm and monitoring data — signals and events from sensors, detectors, and panels, including entry/exit activity, open/close events, arming status, alarm triggers, and timestamps, together with information needed to dispatch a response.
- Biometric identifiers and information — where you select biometric access control or facial-recognition features, identifiers such as facial geometry or fingerprint templates used to verify or identify individuals. See Section 6.
- Smart-automation data — device status, configuration, and operational data from connected locks, lighting, climate, and other automation equipment.
- Account and emergency information — system credentials, user lists, passcodes, premises details, and emergency contacts used to operate and respond to your system.
04How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- To respond to quote requests, prepare proposals, and communicate with you;
- To design, install, configure, integrate, monitor, service, and support your system;
- To detect, verify, and respond to alarm events, including coordinating with monitoring centers and, where appropriate, emergency responders;
- To operate biometric and access-control features you have enabled, solely for identification, verification, and security purposes;
- To process and fulfill orders for products we resell, and to facilitate manufacturer warranty and support;
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our Services;
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect the rights, property, and safety of our customers, the public, and our Company; and
- For other purposes disclosed at the time of collection or to which you consent.
06Biometric & Sensitive Data
Some of our access-control and surveillance products can collect biometric identifiers and biometric information — such as a scan of facial geometry or a fingerprint template. We treat this data as sensitive and handle it as follows:
- Notice and consent. We collect, capture, or store biometric data only after providing notice and obtaining a written release or consent from the individual or the responsible customer, where required by law.
- Limited purpose. We use biometric data only to verify or identify individuals for the security and access-control functions you have enabled. We do not use it for marketing or profiling.
- No sale. We do not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from biometric identifiers or biometric information.
- Limited disclosure. We disclose biometric data only with consent, to complete a transaction you request, or as required by law or valid legal process.
- Retention and destruction. We retain biometric data only as long as needed for the purpose collected, and we destroy it no later than [e.g., one (1) to three (3) years] after the purpose has been satisfied or our relationship ends, whichever occurs first, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Protection. We store and transmit biometric data using a reasonable standard of care and in a manner at least as protective as we use for other confidential information.
Certain states impose specific requirements on biometric data and other sensitive categories. Where those laws apply, the rights and protections in Section 10 supplement this Section.
08Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, maintain your system, comply with our legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data type — for example, video footage is typically retained only for a limited rolling window unless an event requires preservation, while account records may be kept for the life of the relationship and a reasonable period afterward. Biometric data is governed by Section 6.
09Data Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures are calibrated to the sensitivity of the data we handle. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding any credentials, passcodes, or access codes associated with your system and for notifying us promptly of any suspected compromise.
